Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This policy explains your right to cancel your Lineman subscription under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It applies if you bought a paid plan as a consumer (an individual not acting in the course of a business). If you signed up as a business — for example, by giving us a VAT number, a registered company name, or a business email — this policy does not apply to your contract; the Lineman Terms govern that.
1. Your 14-day right to cancel
You can cancel your subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. The 14 days run from the day after your contract was formed (which is the moment you completed checkout).
2. When the right is "waived"
Lineman is a digital service that starts working as soon as you connect your API key. Because of this, we ask you at checkout to expressly consent to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right once supply has begun.
If you ticked that box at checkout (every consumer who completes checkout has, since this is required to deliver the service immediately), the right to cancel is lost once the service is fully performed. If you cancel after consent but before full performance, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the point of cancellation. See section 6.4 of the Terms for the exact wording you agreed to.
If you did not tick the box (a deliberately uncommon path — the checkout doesn't allow it for consumers), supply does not begin until 14 days have elapsed.
3. How to cancel
You can cancel in any of these ways. All produce the same legal effect — there is no preferred method.
(a) From your account. Sign in, go to *Subscription → Manage*, and click Cancel subscription. Confirm. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation date.
(b) By the model cancellation form. Copy the form below into an email to support@lineman.io (or post it to our registered office: see the page footer).
(c) By any clear written statement. A short email to support@lineman.io saying you wish to cancel is sufficient — there is no required form of words. Tell us your account email and the date.
4. Model cancellation form
Per Schedule 3 of the 2013 Regulations. You don't have to use this exact wording — anything clear is fine — but copy-paste this if it helps.
` To: Goo Holdings Ltd, support@lineman.io
I/We* hereby give notice that I/We* cancel my/our* contract for the supply of the following service:
Lineman subscription
Ordered on / received on*: ____________ Name of consumer(s): ____________ Address of consumer(s): ____________ Signature of consumer(s): ____________ (only if this form is sent on paper) Date: ____________
- Delete as appropriate.

5. What happens after you cancel
We will send you a confirmation email acknowledging your cancellation. If you cancelled within the 14-day cooling-off period AND did not consent to immediate supply, we will refund all payments in full within 14 days of receiving the cancellation, using the same payment method you used originally (see Refund Policy for the mechanics).
If you cancelled after consenting to immediate supply, your access continues until the end of your current billing period — you keep paid features until then and are not charged again. If full performance hadn't yet been reached at cancellation, you may owe a proportionate amount for service used up to that point.
6. Cancelling outside the 14-day window
After the 14-day window you can still cancel at any time using the in-app Cancel subscription button. This stops your subscription from renewing — your access continues until the end of the current billing period and you won't be charged again.
7. Statutory rights
This policy describes your rights under the 2013 Regulations. Your separate statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — that the service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described — are not affected. See the Terms for the plain-English summary.
If something with the service is broken or not as described, see the Refund Policy and the Complaints procedure.
